Dermal Fillers
Injectable hyaluronic acid gel used for volumising & sculpting the face.
As part of the natural ageing process we lose volume under the skin, leading to the formation of hollows, folds, lines & wrinkles as well as sagging skin. This ageing process alters our appearance and can affect how we feel about our appearance.
Commonly this will be in the most expressive parts of your face; around the eye area, the nose, mouth & jawline . This loss of volume is due to a combination of factors which include but is not limited too; the slowing down i.e. the ability of the body to naturally produce enough of it’s own hyaluronic acid, collagen, there is also a natural loss of fat from the malar fat pads as they degenerate, as well as bone shrinkage which results in the enlarging of the facial cavities, this can be observed especially around the orbital cavity (eye area) .
Dermal Fillers are a highly sought after procedure, a great treatment for clients who want to combat the negative effects of the ageing process and the affect it has on the appearance of the skin.
Fillers can be used to replace lost volume & create contouring in the cheek area.
Fillers can also be used to lift, contour & define the jawline, as well as reshape and rejuvenate an ageing chin.
Fillers can be used to enhance thin lips, create a more defined and fuller lip border and add fullness, as well as being able to lift and raise the down turning corners of the mouth. Dermal Fillers are a fabulous way of conditioning and rehydrating dry lips.
Treating the Tear Troughs (an under eye area) results in a fresher, brighter appearance and a reduction of dark circles and hollows in this area. Dermal Filler can be injected into the brow area to lift the brows, as well as be injected into the temple region to replace lost volume in this area, creating a more youthful look.
Dermal Filler can also be used for improving small imperfections on the nose, often known as Liquid Rhinoplasty.
Dermal Filler is a gel-like substance mainly made up of hyaluronic acid which attracts & holds water to plump up the skin. A popular and versatile injectable treatment that volumises, plumps and lifts the skin leaving it contoured, smooth, and youthful.
Fillers are temporary and can last between 6-18 months - longevity of the filler is mainly related to the choice of filler, but, will also be affected by, but is not limited too; lifestyle i.e. UV exposure, smoking, alcohol, medication. Hyaluronic Dermal Fillers are eventually absorbed back into the body. Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers are mostly dissolvable and can be removed with an injectable enzyme known as Hyaluronidase.

CHEEKS
Loss of natural volume and definition in the cheek area can be quite ageing and can create unwanted shadows and can lend a gaunt appearance to the area/face. Dermal fillers can recreate this youthful look giving you instant results.
We can also create a more contoured, sculpted cheek area for clients wishing this look.
Nasiolabial fold
Loss of natural volume in the mid-face often results in folds, lines and sagging on either side of the nose, known as nose to mouth lines. Injecting dermal filler into this area will instantly give a more youthful appearance as it will plump and soften this area.
Marionette lines
Marionette lines run from the corners of the mouth to either side of the chin. By our mid 40’s most of us are starting to notice these lines creeping onto our faces, resulting in volume loss which causes the corners of the mouth to turn down. Injecting dermal filler into these lines will plump this area and create a support system for the tissue while also lifting the corners upward.
Smokers lines
Once these vertical lines also known as lipstick lines around the mouth have developed, a soft approach to treat this area is required, so that it still looks natural but without the lines. Injecting this area with dermal filler is a good option if a little volume is required to soften these unwanted pesky lines.
Chin
Many people are unhappy with the shape of their chin, whether it be the “C curve” ( formed by the mentalis muscle in the chin pulling the chin upwards.) or whether it be dimpling on the chin - caused by loss of fat under the skin. Some people just simply don’t like the shape of their chin for one reason or another.
A well proportioned chin has always been considered a thing of beauty. In todays world of aesthetics it is possible with dermal fillers to augment/reshape the chin with dermal fillers almost instantly, all without surgical invasion.
Jaw line
In todays world of aesthetics jawline reshaping, contouring is a highly sought after treatment for both male and female clients alike. Males going for a more masculine angular jawline. The ladies opting for a more defined, contoured sculpted look.
As part of the natural ageing process we lose volume in the cheeks and under the eye area partly due to the loss of fat from the fad pads under the skin, furthermore we loose volume in the chin and under the jawline leading to sagging skin in the form of Jowls. Using dermal fillers we can replace lost volume along the jawline redefining the shape and lifting back loose skin giving a more youthful appearance.
TEAR TROUGH
Hollowing, loss of volume, and darkness under the eye area can be addressed using dermal fillers, resulting in a brighter, fresher, less tired look around the eye area.
Note: Tear trough treatment is a 2 part treatment with 6 weeks apart.
